I needed a solution! I could get noise cancelling headphones, but those are too pricey and I really like my Apple Earphones. What I needed was louder audio. What I needed was a brain. For some reason, it took me more than a fucking month to just type a few words into Google to find a solution. Yikes. Most of my job centers on Google, yet I somehow forgot all about it.

Anyway! For those of you who forgot about Google, here is what you can do if you desperately need to increase the volume of an audio file (or files) in iTunes.

Step One! Select the file/s that you wish to make louder.

Step Two! Right click on the selected file/s.

Step Three! Click on the “Get Info” option in the context menu.

Step Four! Click on the “Options” tab of the “Get Info” window.

Step Five! Slide the “Volume Adjustment” slider over to “+100%”.

Step Six! Click “OK”.

And you’re done! Loudness has been achieved! Just go ahead and sync up your iPod or iPhone and the volume will automagically be louder!

You can find beauty everywhere. Here I am in shitty Chandler, Arizona yet I feel completely relaxed and happy. I see green all around me and the only noises I hear are the steadily increasing breeze and a few skaters having some fun at the nearby skate park. I’m currently writing a post about atheistic spirituality that will cover most of what I am feeling right now so I won’t go into much detail, but I don’t see how any experience anyone can have in a church could even come close to rivaling the beauty of even this shitty little park and all it represents. I may not believe in a lot of the ridiculous stuff that those Sedona and Flagstaff new agey types are into, but they are definitely spot on about the benefits of connecting to nature. I love my gadgets, but this far surpasses any shiny new toy Apple can ever throw at me.

Because of the broken leg, he can no longer go on the cruise he had planned. Not cool. I’m pretty sure a blog post entirely about him is not quite as good as a 10 day cruise… but it’s something.

BEER. He likes it. He runs a beer review website called Local Brewery. I don’t like beer, but I still enjoy watching the beer review videos. And hey… he even gave me some of the Sam Adams Utopias he reviewed in the video below.

That shit’s expensive! It was actually quite tasty and had quite a kick for a beer.

And finally… I cannot mention Ricky without bringing up Android. He’s a pretty big fan. He really enjoys giving me shit about my iPhone. I think he’s right. Android is pretty fucking awesome. The WWDC is tomorrow though and I think I’m going to have to depend on him to convince me to not get the new iPhone. Stupid AT&T really needs to get on the Android bandwagon.

I know I’m a bit late for bandwagon, but I’m really diggin Vampire Weekend. I’ve owned their albums for a while, but I’ve only recently had em on heavy rotation on my iPhone. Good stuff. Very relaxed and yet upbeat. Obviously, they sound a lot like Paul Simon, but that’s okay. Paul Simon rocks. Also, I love this music video so damn much. Jake Gyllenhaal is one sexy hunk of a man. Look!

Also… look at this truffle that’s being sold at Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney. Do want! Come on now… Double Hazelnut Caramel or Pineapple Ginger Macadamia Nut… wow. Kinda wish I had a place close to Disneyland right about now. Well… I wish I was living near Disneyland just about every second of every day. Maybe some day… TRUFFLE!

Also… LOST. Whoa. Haven’t cried that hard since Desmond and Penny were reunited on the boat. Oh man… and Hurley crying? Too much. Way too intense. Can’t handle it. I was shaking. I love you, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

We are also less than a week away from Heather’s birthday! Her presents this year are “off the hook”. Yes. They are that good.

Tomorrow is the Apple event. I usually get excited for these as they are fun and interesting to watch, but this year I actually have an Apple product! I’m hoping they announce a new iPhone OS along with this mysterious tablet thingy. No more will I have to be shamed by Heather’s Droid and it’s superior operating system! Huzzah!

Also, I’ve started writing reviews on Yelp. I love it! Maybe I’ll even become an elite Yelper! One can only dream…

Also, I really hope the Apple conference that is coming up contains an iPhone OS update. I love my iPhone so much, but when I compare it to Heather’s Droid… it’s just not that great.

Also, when the fuck is the Coachella lineup going to be released??? Come on people! Let’s do this! NOW!

These last few posts have been pretty short because I have been writing them in bed on my iPhone. I did have a good excuse for today though… spent my afternoon in the hospital. Fun times.

Big news! There is an Avatar sex scene!!! Obviously, it wasn’t in the theatrical release, but it will be on the DVD release. Yay!

James Cameron’s latest blockbuster “Avatar” has already grossed over $1 billion worldwide, and that’s without the benefit of any steamy sex scenes. However, that doesn’t mean that one wasn’t shot.

Actress Zoe Saldana, who played the female lead, the Na’vi alien Neytiri, told a group of reporters that they did indeed shoot a sex scene between her and male lead Sam Worthington, but it was not included in the final product because Cameron felt it would push them past a PG-13 rating.

Zaldana described how the Na’vi do the deed:

If you sync to your banshee and you’re syncing to a tree, why not sync into a person? I almost feel like you’ll have the most amazing orgasm, I guess. It was a very funny scene to shoot because there were so many technical things that sometimes you have to keep in mind that paying attention to all those might disrupt the fluidity of how a scene is supposed to take place.

Lastly, the Almighty Google officially announced the release of it’s Nexus One phone today. Now, I have an iPhone 3GS and love it… but… um… I still want this thing. Don’t worry though! Heather has a Droid, and that means that she will be able to upgrade her phone to the new Android 2.1 release, and that means that I will get to play around with it! Yay! I win! Really though… I love my iPhone. I really do. At the moment, I am really into Gowalla and Foursquare. They are great fun! Huzzah!

I really want an iPhone now. I just watched the new iPhone OS 3.0 conference, and was blown away by it. They’ve addressed (almost) all of the major issues with the OS and have made it much more attractive. We’ll see.
