Last weekend, Team Willis (minus Katy) and Heather’s grandparents went to Las Vegas!

Look!

We stayed at Hooters. It was a shit hole, but I liked it! Also… we went to LOVE!!! Out of the five times I have been, this time was, by far, my favorite. Also… we don’t know that guy. I believe alcohol may have had something to do with the creation of that picture…

Look! It’s Heather’s Dutch grandparents! And me! At the Wynn! Being classy! And I’m drunk! And we’re all happy! Also… CHICKEN FRIED STEAK BREAKFAST FTW!

That is my favorite pizza in the world. Pesto slice from the Pizza Place at the Wynn. Also… that may or may not be a picture of me drunkenly rolling down a parking garage ramp.

There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow

There has been a lot of really shitty stuff happening in my life lately. It really sucks. It’s hard to stay positive. That’s what this post is for. To remind me of all of the great and fabulous things that are coming up in my life.

First off… tomorrow is Yelp’s Ultimate Science Fair at the Arizona Science Center! Heather, my mom, my dad, and my uncle are all going. This is the biggest Yelp event of the year, and it looks like it is going to be mind blowing.

Next up is the Girl Talk concert in a few weeks. I only recently discovered him, but I really love his mashups and have read nothing but amazing things about his live performances.

In April, Heather and I will be seeing the Grammy Award-winning Arcade Fire. FUCK YEAH! I was lucky in getting our amazing tickets as the band tweeted a special presale announcement one day early. This is why I love Twitter.

In May, the East Valley Team Willis Battalion will depart on a grand Las Vegas adventure! As we are the classiest of families, we will be staying at the luxurious Hooters Hotel and Casino.

While there, we will be seeing the cast of Glee live in concert!

A mere week after getting back from Vegas, Heather and I will be getting on a plane and going to the Netherlands! We’re going for the wedding of one of Heather’s relatives, and I could not be more excited!

And then… a week after we get back from Holland, the East Valley Team Willis Battalion will be seeing Les Misérables at Gammage. This’ll be my first time seeing it live, and I am really looking forward to it.

I’m sure there will be more fun adventures between Les Mis and December, but the next planned adventure is a Team Willis Disneyland Christmastime Spectacular!

So yeah… I guess life ain’t so bad.

October Twenty Second Twenty Ten

All I remember from my dream last night was the end. I was in the High School Musical cafeteria sitting at a table alone. Then… Mr. Shue came and sat next to me. He asked me what was going on in my life and I let him have it. I was telling him about all of the crappy things that are happening to me and Heather and it felt great. It seemed like this went on for a while when the unthinkable happened… Claire showed up… sat down next to me… and I woke up. Thanks, brain. You are usually pretty awesome (despite your love of forgetting things), but that was a dick move.

Hey! Look what Obama did!

Aw… you made one of those It Gets Better videos. How sweet. Too bad it doesn’t mean shit and you’re a fucking hypocrite. You see, Barack… you can talk about how much you believe in equality all you want (and you are a hell of a lot better than Bush in that area), but you do not believe in gay marriage and are, therefor, part of the problem. One of the reason these videos are being made is because homosexual Americans have less rights that heterosexual Americans. That’s a fact. Straight people can get married. Gay people cannot. Now… can you guess who the most powerful person in America is? The one person who has the power to sway the national opinion and be a great role model while using their bully pulpit to influence congress to get what they want done? Well… that would be you. And you’re not using your power to make ALL Americans equal. Guess what… you suck. I’m on your side on most things, but this is pathetic, ignorant, and not at all progressive.

Can I just say something? Yes? Thanks. I really like my blog. I think it does a pretty good job of describing who I am and what I’m all about. That being said, it’s still not really what I wish it was. What I wish it was can be seen at my friend Nicole’s blog. You see… I like posting all of these silly pictures and videos and doing my nonsense political rants and such, but I would love to be able to fully articulate what is going on in my life and what I am feeling in a nicely worded and lengthy blog post like she does. I want the words to paint a picture. Unfortunately… my writing skills are diction are lacking. Oh well. Maybe some day.

And finally… gingerbread. I may have an iPhone, but the Android team is fucking awesome in just about every way possible.

We’re now caught up with Glee. Man… that last episode was intense. I had no idea the show would be this good. I can’t for new episodes!

I feel like I am running out of juice on this blog. I need some inspiration. It will come.

Heather and I just started watching Glee from the beginning! It’s very good. I would suggest watching it. It’s kind of nice to watch something so uplifting and fun after watching shows like Dollhouse and Fringe. And I will admit… it has made me cry a few times already. Yeah… it’s really good. I mean… not as good as LOST… but it’s good. Oh man… LOST is soooo fucking close! I cannot wait!
