If You Respect Sarah Palin, I Don’t Respect You

I know I said I was done with politics just a few hours ago, but someone sent me this great article by Andrew Sullivan and I had to share it.

Sarah Palin. Two words that epitomize everything that is wrong with the media today. This woman is a fucking disgrace. She is stupid, ignorant, fake, power-hungry, and hateful. This, coming from feminist. When Palin was announced as McCain’s running mate, I was actually a little excited. I thought maybe a strong, younger woman would help balance out that out of touch, pathetic, old white guy. We do need more women in politics. Even the uber-diverse Obama chose an old white dude. So yeah… my excitement faded away rather quickly. Like… the second she opened her god damned mouth.

It was pretty clear right away that Sarah Palin was a complete moron. And yes… the media did catch on to this obvious fact, but as the article says:

And in this context, we have to realize that the US no longer has a truly adversarial press. It has a commercial press that is entirely driven by fear of losing readers and/or viewers. Remember that the MSM allowed Palin – then a total unknown – to go an entire campaign without an open press conference. She knows they’re patsies. She’s much less afraid of them than they are of her. And rightly so.

So true and so sad. Reporting that Sarah Palin is an idiot does not make you biased, it makes you honest.

Yes… that is real. Sarah Palin isn’t going anywhere. She’s in it for the long haul. And she will get all the free publicity she wants as long as our media is run by worthless and weak fools.

And to end this stupid political post… Glenn Beck. Is it any surprise that one of Sarah’s biggest supporters cannot spell worth a damn?

I give up. We’re fucked.
